Steuben County is nestled in Northeast Indiana, adjacent to both Ohio and Michigan and is part of the Northeast Indiana economic and workforce development regions.  Steuben County is within 200 miles of the major markets of Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, and Indianapolis; and boasts a transportation infrastructure that utilizes I-69 and the I-80/90 Indiana Toll Road. The county is located 50 miles north of the Fort Wayne International airport and within 120 miles of two major ports, Indiana's Burns Harbor and Ohio's Port Huron.
 
The Steuben County Economic Development Corporation is a member of the Northeast Indiana Regional Marketing Partnership which represents 10 counties in our Northeast Indiana region. Our Northeast Indiana location has led to the partnerships slogan: "You Can Get There From Here."
 
The County is also home to Trine University, a 1500-student private non-denominational institution, which offers nationally recognized and accredited baccalaureate and graduate programs. The University is a partner to local business and industry in research and development and has a strong student internship program.
