The Town of Fremont, Indiana is a small community of 1,696 citizens situated in the northeast corner of the State of Indiana.
Fremont is the second largest community in Steuben County and is located just over one mile south of the Michigan state

 line and approximately five miles west of the Ohio state line.
All of Steuben County and the Town of Fremont in particular, reside in close proximity to primary interstate highways with

easy access to major Midwest cities. Interchanges to Interstate 69 and 80/90 within 2 miles

 The Town of Fremont also enjoys a good system of local roads and state highways. State Road 120 is the primary
east-west route, and provides the community with easy connection to the Interstates 69 and 80/90. State Road 827
provides  a direct route south to the county seat of Angola, IN.
Over the last five years, the combined efforts of many groups have allowed the Fremont community to construct a new
one-mile plus, dual lane industrial truck route. This new route is designed to divert truck traffic away from the school zones
and central business district, providing a direct route from the industrial parks to State Road 120 and on to Interstates 69
and 80/90. The old Town Hall was razed and replaced with a new facility housing the Police Department, Town Court,
Clerk-Treasurer and Town Superintendent’s Offices. A new Public Library was constructed along State Road 120 to
better serve the citizens of Fremont and the surrounding townships.
