The Town of Hamilton Indiana is a small community located on the border of Steuben County, Indiana and DeKalb County, Indiana. The population was 1,233 at the 2000 census. Although we have always remained a small town, historically our population explodes in the summer months due to the appeal of our wonderful lake. Hamilton Lake covers over 800 acres with a depth of over 90'. Downtown Hamilton is located along the south shore of the Lake, offering many restaurants, merchants and professional services.
