ELECTRIC

Three electric companies serve Steuben County businesses and residents.

In the Angola area Northern Indiana Public Service Co. (NIPSCO) is the major provider of electric service. Call NIPSCO’s customer service line at (800) 464-7726. Also visit NIPSCO’s Economic Development website at http://econdev.nipsco.com.

For rural areas around Steuben County, the electric service provider is Steuben County Rural Electric Membership Corp (REMC). For Service call (260) 665-3563. Wabash Valley Power is a generation and transmission Touchstone Energy cooperative based in Indianapolis, Indiana, that provides wholesale electricity to 27 distribution systems in Indiana including Steuben County REMC. NATURAL GAS

TELEPHONE & BROADBAND
For much of Steuben County the phone service provider is Frontier communications. Businesses call 1-877-462-8188. Residential call 1-877-462-8188.
For the Ashley-Hudson area, the telephone company is Century Link. Businesses or Residential in this area

SEWER & WATER

Municipal water and sewer service is available in Angola, Fremont, Hamilton, Ashley and Hudson. Water service is available in the Town of Orland and Sewer service is available through the Steuben Lakes Regional Waste District: http://slrwd.org .
