INSULATION PRODUCT MANUFACTURER TO LOCATE IN STEUBEN COUNTY
ORLAND, IN (Sept. 21, 2011) - CTA Acoustics, Inc. an industry leader in the development and production of lighter weight, highly effective acoustic and thermal materials for the transportation industry has chosen the Town of Orland, Indiana for a new manufacturing facility.
The company, headquartered in Madison Heights Michigan, has leased a 93,000 sq. ft. vacant manufacturing facility in Orland, and plans to employ 140 people by the year 2014. CTA expects to acquire and install the presses and support equipment in Orland during 2010 with quality validation and limited production scheduled to begin later in the year.
"The Steuben County Economic Development Corporation, along with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation on the state level, made a compelling case for CTA to add a location in Orland, Indiana. We appreciate the cooperation from the county, local and statewide leaders in helping us to identify and secure and appropriate facility," says Jame Pike, Chief Executive Officer of CTA Acoustics.
Gene German, Orland Town Manager said, "The Town of Orland has been working diligently to improve our community with our downtown improvement project, and a new sewer system, to help attract new business. CTA Acoustics will be a great asset to our local economy bringing needed jobs that will revitalize our community."
Orland Town Council President Kevin Kellet agreed with Mr. German and added, "We are looking forward to welcoming CTA to Orland, and to a long association with the company which will bring new growth and stability to the Town of Orland and Steuben County."
At the request of Susan Miller, Executive Director of the Steuben County EDC, the Orland Town Council may consider applications for a two-year vacant building deduction and tax abatement on manufacturing equipment for the company. The IEDC offered tax credits for hiring Indiana resident workers and Work One Northeast has offered to facilitate job applicant screening and training grants for Indiana employees.
