ANGOLA — The Angola Common Council approved an agreement for $40,000 to HWC Engineering, Indianapolis, for an update to the city comprehensive plan on Monday.
According to documents provided, the intent of the update is to consolidate the recommendations of recent planning efforts, including economic development plans, a housing study and America’s Best Communities planning into a singular document that unifies a vision for the city.
The plan will be presented to the public for comment on the draft, adopted by the plan commission, reviewed and voted on by the common council and finally adopted.
