ANGOLA — Steuben County’s newest hotel, Wingate by Wyndham, opened its doors to a good 200 or so guests Tuesday before opening its doors to its actual guests — bookings of actual hotel guests — who were to arrive later in the day.
It was also the first project to be built in the new Angola Innovation Park, a public-private partnership between the city of Angola; the company Angola First, which is owned by Jim Ingledue, Wayne Klink and Ken Wilson; and Speedway Inc.
The new hotel is actually a new floor plan and exterior design for the Wyndham brand that adds 99 more hotel rooms to Steuben County. The county has about 800 hotel rooms now.
